BBNAIJA 10 - Dangote killed Phyna sister allegedly

Big Brother Naija Season 7 champion Ijeoma Josephina Otabor, commonly known as Phyna, has accused the Dangote Group of not keeping their promise to send her sister, Ruth, overseas for medical care.

According to DAILY POST, Ruth, Phyna’s younger sibling, suffered a devastating accident on August 13, 2025, close to Auchi Polytechnic in Edo State, when a Dangote truck, reportedly driven by an underage and unlicensed driver, struck her.

The incident happened just six days after Ruth’s graduation, leading to the amputation of her left leg, and jeopardizing the health of her right leg as well.

In a series of heartfelt updates on Wednesday, Phyna shared that her recent visit to her sister revealed that Ruth's condition was significantly more severe than what she had previously conveyed to the public.

She stated that she has been in continuous discussions with representatives from the Dangote Group.

As she explained, the company initially agreed to her request for Ruth to be transported to India for specialized medical care.

Nevertheless, Ruth was first moved to Lagoon Hospital in Lagos, where Phyna was required to provide a comprehensive medical report.

After swiftly submitting the report, Phyna mentioned that the company's representatives changed their stance, indicating that they would seek additional medical guidance before reaching any conclusions.

The reality TV personality mentioned that they subsequently requested another report from Lagoon Hospital confirming that Ruth's condition could not be treated there.

In a detailed Instagram post, Phyna expressed that the Dangote representative she had been in contact with has ignored her messages for more than 24 hours, raising doubts about the company's commitment to its assurances of assistance.

The former BBNaija champion specifically appealed to Aliko Dangote, the company's owner, to get personally involved in the effort to save her sister's life.

"My sister's safety cannot be compromised. She requires immediate medical attention that exceeds the capabilities of local hospitals. Dangote must honor their commitments," she stated.
